Dharamsala, HP, India, March 4, 2008 (Phayul) - His Holiness the Dalai Lama tosses (Chemar) (traditional welcome offering) upon his arrival at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) for the inaugural first day session of the annual 14th Shoton (Yoghurt Festival) or, the Tibetan Opera Festival on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Tibetan Prime Minister Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa and senior officials of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile attended the festival’s first day show. The Tibetan Opera Festival will go on until March 09, 2008.
