Yarkyi (45th Anniversary of TIPA) - May 2004

The Yarkyi competitions took place in the TIPA auditorium in front of judges and many guests. Being professional artistes, both teams presented and performed the dances and songs excellently. As ever, it was a difficult task for the three judges to decide which team was better. However, after a closely fought battle, the Ngonpa team was declared the winner for 2004 and Gyalu second.

Our teachers and staff members also presented some programs to further entertain the audience and artistes.

Four teams competed in the sports activities - TIPA Staff, Ngonpa, Gyalu and TIPA Trainees. The sports played were Men's Soccer, Men's Basketball, Ladies' Basketball, Men's Volleyball and Ladies' Badminton. Gyalu took many of the honours, winning Men's Soccer, Men's Basketball, Men's Volleyball and Ladies' Basketball. The TIPA Trainees took second place in Basketball and Volleyball while the TIPA Staff took second place in Soccer.
