Our Tibetan Arts Market Tingshaws are hand cast in Nepal of an alloy of Bronze, Iron, and Zinc.
Unlike a Tibetan Singing Bowl, Tibetan Tingshaws purposely create dissonant tones to create a more penetrating sound. They can be quietly chimed by lightly tapping each chime together, or be chimed loudly by holding the leather cord in the center and using your momentum to allow the chimes to strongly strike each other.
