Ghanta and Dorje
The Ghanta and Dorje are the two most prominent tools in Buddhist meditation and rituals. The Ghanta and Dorje represent the masculine and feminine energies in the cosmos. A dorje is always held in the right hand the ghanta in the left to represent to two sides of the body.
The Ghanta or "bell" symbolizes feminine wisdom and power and is said to represent the voice of the Buddha. The Dorje (or Vajra) in Tibetan translates to "indestructible diamond scepter" and is a symbol of great compassion. The Ghanta represents the emptiness of wisdom as the sound arises from nothing and slowly fades away into nothing. The dorje is also said to be the greatest spiritual tool as it fights off dark energy.
